Visit the Gordon House

The Gordon House is open for guided tours! Reserve a private tour Wednesday-Sunday beginning at noon, 1 and 2pm

Join us for a one-hour guided tour of the Gordon House, the only Frank Lloyd Wright structure in the state of Oregon. On the tour guests will learn about Frank Lloyd Wright’s Usonian vision, the homeowners, Conrad and Evelyn Gordon, and how the house found its way to Silverton. All proceeds support the site’s educational and preservation mission.

With careful consideration, we will be opening our doors to welcome visitors. You will notice the following changes at the Gordon House:

  • The size of the tours will be limited to “groups” of 10 or less who come together: families, couples, etc.
  • You will be guided by a docent who will keep a 6′ distance from the tour group at all times.
  • We REQUIRE all guests to wear a mask.
  • We will have several hand sanitizer stations and soap and paper towels at each sink for everyone to use.
  • All ticket vouchers must be purchased online. NO CASH SALES at this time.
  • The number of guests will be limited in the gift shop to adhere to the 6′ social distancing guidelines between staff and guests.
  • Public restroom access will be limited at this time.
  • We will be increasing our sanitizing/cleaning before and after each tour in public spaces.
  • All names of individuals in each group are required for our guest book/log.
  • Guests will be asked to complete health screening. We will ask you NOT to visit if you answer yes to any of the following:
    • Had fever/chills in past 14 days
    • Had respiratory symptoms (difficulty breathing, cough, shortness of breath)
    • Been in contact with a COVID-19 infected person
    • Traveled outside the US in the past 14 days

Give us call or send an email for more information 503-874-6006 info@thegordonhouse.org

We will continue to monitor the recommendations of local, state, and national health authorities and update policies as needed. We encourage anyone seeking further information on COVID-19 to visit www.Oregon.gov or www.cdc.gov.

A Night with Wright

If you’re looking for a gift for an appreciator of architecture and Oregon history, a $599 contribution will get you a night’s stay for four people in the well-preserved home that showcases the famous architect’s inspired solutions to easier indoor-outdoor living, claustrophobic kitchens and dark, boring rooms.

It’s an experience like no other and an opportunity to help preserve an architectural treasure. What better way to educate oneself about Wright and his architectural principles than to experience it firsthand.

A Night with Wright includes four tickets to the Oregon Garden. For information, contact info@thegordonhouse.org.
