Volunteer opportunities
Docent
Lead tours of the only Frank Lloyd Wright building in Oregon, and the only one open to tours in the Pacific Northwest. We’ll train you! All we require is that you have a willingness to learn, enjoy being around people and spend about 3.5 hours per shift, once a month minimum. Experience working with the public and some level of public speaking is nice but not necessary. Getting to meet folks from all over the world, is just one of the perks!
Special Event Assistance
Great for those who eschew a regular schedule, our special private and public events need extra hands on deck to help with the many tasks of pulling off a major event, both during and prior to the event.
Architecture in Schools
The Gordon House is an educator’s resource center for materials and tours that support K-12 core curriculum in the Silver Falls Public School District and other Oregon schools. To supplement their studies, college and university students regularly tour the house. Volunteers on our Education Committee support this vital role.
Gardening and Maintenance
Like your own home, our Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian occasionally needs some gardening care and maintenance. If you feel you have expertise in these areas, please sign up, and we will let you know of any upcoming volunteer opportunities.
